BIOGRAPHY
Jessica Lorraine is a singer/songwriter from the Goulburn Valley, VIC, blending indie folk, alt-country and pop into music that is heartfelt, earthy and emotionally honest. With her rich vocals, introspective lyrics, and warm stage presence, she draws audiences in - offering a space for connection through story and song.
Jessica’s debut album Looking For Something Else was released in June 2024. Written over several years in the home she grew up in, the album captures the feelings of searching, heartache, growth and reflection that defined her late teens and early twenties. Produced by Josh Barber (Gretta Ray, Gotye), the record features Matt Dixon (The Teskey Brothers) on electric guitar and pedal steel, Claire Cross on bass, and was mixed by Robert Muinos (Didirri, Little May) and mastered by the late John Davis (Lana Del Rey, Nick Cave).
The album was launched with two sold-out full band shows, at The Wesley Anne in Melbourne and a hometown show at Radcliffes in Echuca. Followed by the release of Live at Radcliffes later that year, a visual EP capturing five live performances from the Echuca show with accompanying videos on YouTube.
Single from the album Same Old Songs (July 2023) drew praise from ABC Country’s Kath Devaney with a review on Triple J Unearthed, Kath said: “Scorching vocal with just the right amount of percussion tempered with gentle reverb. Delectable and powerful—my favourite combo. Jessica is a voice and name you’ll want to know.
2025 has seen Jessica take further strides, performing alongside renowned Australian acts. She joined Kim Churchill’s The Lovely Tour in Mildura and Broken Hill in February, opened for Shannon Noll and The Choirboys at the Murray River Golf & Music Festival in April, and supported Bernard Fanning & Paul Dempsey’s Fanning Dempsey National Park - The Deluge Tour at Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre in May.
Having performed over 650 shows across Victoria and beyond, Jessica has steadily built a reputation as a compelling live act. Whether playing solo, with a band, or looping live on stage, her shows leave audiences moved and uplifted.
Her songwriting has been recognised nationally as a three-time semi-finalist in Listen Up Music’s The Songwriting Prize (in 2019, 2021 and 2023), most recently for album track Winding Roads.
Behind the scenes, Jessica is busy gathering inspiration and working on her next music release.
